Anyone test E85 from Valero lately?

Trying to figure out if a sensor is off, or if Valeros e85 is really below E60 at the moment. Anyone test it with a digital gauge as of late? I'll probably use my test tube thing and see what it says....no idea how accurate they really are.

Dunno. In this case it might be? He's using the valero over by the track. Gunna test that one on Sat and see. I know there is human error involved with the test tube, but its pretty hard to fuck it up THAT much.

I think maybe your gauge could be off. Have used the Valero on Rio Bravo and seen e71 most of the time in these cold months. For what is worth, just filled up at the place on Griego and it is reading e73. They finally dropped there e price down to $1.79 too.

Sounds about what I'm getting with the tube. 1st pic I think I filled up just a tad bit too low with the fuel, 2nd pic should be pretty spot on.

I think the sensor in the V is close to accurate. The stoichiometric calculations the ecu did when I was tuning it were very close. Meaning I didn't have to adjust what GM has in the ecu for the percentage of fuel added for the % the sensor is reading.

One way to take the guess work out of it is to empty all fuel out of the car and fill with straight high quality e98 and see what the sensor reads. The car will adjust fueling for this and the timing is conservative enough for E98.

I have a flex fuel kit now from GotBoost Performance. Forget which sensor he uses. My readings is done on the stock gauges.

Maybe Steven can get fuel from the fuel stop and see if his sensor is reading close to Mike's?

with 3/4 of a tank I added 5 gallons of E98 (from alex at NM imports) and my Aeroforce gauge reading jumped from 58% up to 73%. it has since settled down to 67. I think the Flex sensor in my car is working fine. my next plan is to try different E stations.
