Okay, got some information on Torco's T85, they say Torco has engineered T85 to make up to 4% more power and torque than conventional E85. Torco's T85 has a consistent proportion of ethanol and all other components in every drum or pail. It makes tuning far easier and effective. T85 is superior to E85 in terms of cooling effect, resistance to detonation and we've added corrosion inhibitors to fight the issues presented by ethanol. A 5 gallon can will be $54.99, but I haven't ordered any yet. Would like to hear a little feedback from everyone that is experiencing the inconstancy of local e85 at the pump.
Thanks Jim

Very interesting. Not to sure that stuff will ever gain much popularity at 11 bucks per gallon though. One of the largest benefits to people using Ethanol is that we can make some serious power while paying no more then regular pump gas. If I was going to spend lots of money on fuel I would think a additional 4 bucks a gallon for some C16 would be a better option.

Just my thoughts as a somewhat long time user of E

Thanks for the reply. I would agree it seems a bit expensive, the can still adds about $4 per gallon. I would look at e98, it can be had a $320 per 55 gallon drum, or $5.82 per gallon and it can still be cut if wanted.

Ethanol Content has to be a minimum and is dependent on seasonal changes. It can range anywhere from 51% to 85% ethanol by volume. That 35% shit is bullshit and can be reported to the DoE.

There are now four classes of ethanol for e85.
They are "typically" as follows:
Summer Blend: Class 1 (min 79% ethanol or more)
Spring/Fall Blend: Class 2 (min 74% ethanol or more)
Winter Blend: Class 3 (min 70% ethanol or more)
EPA Blend: Class 4 (min 51% ethanol or more)

Based on the chart for Albuquerque on pg 32 of the following article, here are the minimum ethanol content percentages by month.

Month (Blend Class) Min Ethanol %
Jan (4) 51%
Feb (4/3) 51-70%
Mar (3) 70%
Apr (3/2) 70-74%
May (2) 74%
Jun (2/1) 74-79%
Jul (1) 79%
Aug (1) 79%
Sep (1/2) 74-79%
Oct (2/3) 70-74%
Nov (3) 70%
Dec (3/4) 51-70%

Check out this article by the DoE for more info: http://www.afdc.energy.gov/uploads/p...l_handbook.pdf
