Stupid things people say about cars

So I overheard a couple guys talking about cars today. One guy said, "I would take the Shelby over the Saleen anyday." The other guy replied, "No way, the Saleen has racing suspension and everything." Then it hit me! That's my problem. I don't have racing suspension!

I wanted to punch him in his face. Maybe it's just me but if I don't know shit about something I keep my mouth shut.

What stupid things have you guys heard people say about cars?

some idiot told me i should swap my tranny with one from an 07' mustang GT cuz then i would be able to drop down into 1st gear at 90MPH...

I was talking to a kid that works with one of my technician friends (and works as a tech), and when I told him about my o2 sensor issues he said "Why do you still have O2 sensors? They run better without them anyway. My 93 camaro didn't have them." I didn't care to go over the fact that in 93 f-bodies were speed density, because then I would've had to argue out and explain it. Then he asked my friend with a 95 Formula if he still had O2 sensors. and said basically the same thing to him. Apparently you can just take the damn O2s out! Why didn't somebody tell me this??? We both laughed at him and just let it go.

That was the pushrod motor with all new CAMS iirc.. I need to start writing down all the dumb shit i've heard people say about cars. There are some special car enthusiasts out there.
