So far, the guest list this year includes 1320video.com, MexicoRacingLeague, and Redline Mobile Dyno for the NM Desert Fest which will be held the evening prior (June 5th).
We look forward to seeing you all again this year!
11.50 is the one class that nobody will bitch. Pretty much everyone in it has been drag racing a long time. It's by far the toughest class at this event.
Yeah it helps to have your class covered by a few tenths easier to let out or leave soft instead of being beat by someone faster and closer to the class time and there's nothing you can do about it. I ran a 13.0 flat out to a a guys 12.8x in the 12.8 class a few years ago with similar reaction times. Want to talk about frustrating.
Big boy class is tough because almost all of the cars running are in the 10s. Hell the trash can has gone high 9s and shawns nova went mid 10s that night as well as pinkys Camaro.
This post is more for the out of town folks that might be comin to the AOCO and NM Desertfest. We have the official AOCO and Desertfest Hotel this year and it's an awesome place to stay. Embassy Suites Albuquerque - Hotel & Spa located at, 1000 Woodward Place NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102.
They are centrally located in town with easy access to freeways and offer complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and a free happy hour for guests in their tropical atrium lobby.
Spots are filling up fast so to get the group rate click on the link below and make your registration.
I'm pushing to be there. Yesterday, I wrote it off, today I decided it was attemptable. Need to do a lot of work, buy a driveshaft, get Mr. Groves to tune it; and finally test the car the weekend before.
for those here who do not follow the AOCO facebook page, the Saturday spot for Registration and first round Call Outs will be 10421 Research Rd SE
Albuquerque, NM 87123. For the older folks, that's South Eubank.
