Nice runs.....................................I think will did a good job, but not good enough to back up all his shit talking. LOL but that is what forums are for, right? All and all it was a fun show, You guys are lucky to have that many cars to show up, we have like two in Roswell. I imagine with a bigger set of turbos, that thing will be a serious contender! but before You buy bigger turbo's buy some new tires................that is just dangerous Will!

Granted from a dig he did loose by a lot more but Ive been in his car and I understand the reason for that. Have you ever tried shifting a car with a bad syncro making power? Probably not because you sit in your car and push it into high gear, lol. I think Will deserves some respect, he came out and did exactly what he said he would, "hang with these fast cars" Ne never called them slow or said he would beat them.
You drag racer guys are all the same, its its not a stripped out domestic tin can running low ETs at low traps its a piece of garbage.

1st of all Cisco you should lighten up a bit. I have been dealt a whole lot more shit talking then I have ever handed out. You want me to throw the guy a bone, sure his car ran pretty good. As far as "push it into high gear" I don't do that. I have an electric shifter operated by an MSD RPM activated switch. Sure Will never said he would beat them, however, I don;t remember saying his car was a "piece of garbage". By the way, it has nothing to do with the import scene. I was VERY involved with this car for a LOT of years.
Where do you get off calling my car a tin can? I suppose if it isn't a heavy ass import with a turbo and a zillion HP capable of ONLY 11 second passes than it is a piece of garbage eh?

I actually like everything, but I understand how and why they do what they do. I had a blast in Bitchstangs car on Sunday. But its the tin can guys that always bag on the high hp guys running ___ times. If you are comparing hp from one car to another you better be comparing weight at the same time. Then throw transmission, rear end, ect in to the equation.
Scott I got a few questions for you.
How much power was your car putting down on its fastest pass (whp uncorrected), What did you run and trap, what was the race weight, how much power do you think your rear end/transmission rob versus a stock manual setup?

The car made under 500 HP at the rear wheels. 10.14 best ET 133 MPH best speed. MAYBE 2600 Lbs with a full bottle and full tank of fuel. The original Vega rear end is plastic (not really but you get the idea - these cars had 80HP from the factory). Powerglide tranny, who knows? My car ran EXACTLY the same with the TH350 (3 speed auto) on the footbrake than it does on a glide with the brake (you can imagine how disapointed I was). I don't have a problem with high HP cars. Don't get me wrong. I usually only bring it up after someone says my car it "a purpose built, tin can, race car". Keep in mind that this car went 11.18 on 330 HP when I built it up for the NA tune. This was on pump gas. My point is, when someone says my car is too light or a tin can I ask them if they can be knocking on the door of a 9 second pass with a measley 500 HP. LocoWills car is one fast street car. I haven't put my new engine together yet so I am still running a stock engine. That is all I have ever run. Why not throw me a bone for having a low budget POS tin can that is fast as hell?

Vega... I like your car. My car is a tank with all the mild-steel tubing in the bitch. Oh yeah... Bitchstang.... Since this is the internet, I'll officialy call you a PUSSY and call your ass out. Don't get it twisted though... the notchy-poo will have a tad bit more timing and bottle pressure when we run. How 'bout a 9.90 tune on a 150 sht?

I like your car. I think its impressive running that fast with that kind of power. I like the metal work, cage, ect... I just give you shit because I think you dont see what us street driven built guys have to do. Usually more weight comes with a more streetable car. We have to give up things to have driveability. Just like you have to give up things to have ET ability.
Lets take my car vs yours as a good comparison. I make more power and run slower. Oh my that must mean my car is inferior .
My car weighs in about 3700 lbs and made 650 whp uncorrected. It ran a best of 11.00@133.4
You said yours weights 2600 lbs and made 500 whp uncorrected. It ran a best of 10.14@133
My car makes 0.1757 hp/lb
Your car makes 0.1923 hp/lb
If my car had your hp to weight ratio it would make 712 uncorrected
If your car made my ho to weight ratio it would make 457 uncorrected
Your car should run faster and it does. A full second faster is probably more then it should if all things where equal. But I am sure your drivetrain soaks up maybe an extra 50 whp then if you had my drivetrain. That would explain why you ran the same on a TH350 vs and Glide with a brake (throw some good power at it and I'm sure it will come alive). That extra 50 whp would make your car at 0.2115 hp/lb, that hp/lb would put my car at 783 hp uncorrected. Im not trying to bench race just trying to prove the point that the cars are very much equal event though on paper your car is faster. Its safe to say that at the strip you got me beat. But it is as equally safe to say that in street driveabilty I have you beat.
Ive said over and over again that my car is built to drive. How many cars do you know that could drive 15 hours straight to Houston, then run an 11.0 and drive back? Just like how many cars do I know that can run an 11.18 with 330 hp? My girlfriends Vette dynoed 327 and ran a 13.3.
Scott you better step it up though. My car is getting some 15 in wheels and no more shifting into 5th in the traps. If I get the antilag to let me leave with some boost I think mid 10s will be a breeze .
EDIT: I just realized comparing your 50 whp loss and giving my car the .2115 hp/lb is not fair. It should probably be a standard 50 whp maybe a little more with more power but the 783 is not a good fair comparison.
