So I bought my hatch as a daily. Well after driving it a couple months after sitting a couple of days it smokes when i start it(valve seals) and then i got on it hard one day and noticed a puff of smoke behind me. Nothing big just a puff but still bothered me so I decided its vtec time. Picked up a b16a head which I took to AMS and got it miled Doug said it was almost perfect and didn't look like it had been overheated or anything he shaved .004 off. Picked up the aftermarket fuel rail with the head. Came across a ported intake mani(ported to 70mm) so I grabbed it up for the low and going to run all thermal gaskets. Trying to keep the top end on a budget since I'm dropping alot in the bottom end. I already had a lsvtec kit from golden eagle(minus sandwhich plate). Picked up a sandwhich plate from bwr(great service) and a timing belt/ water pump kit for a gsr to run. I'm hoping when I pull this motor the cylinder walls are unscored so I can just measure and order pistons without having to get it honed. My crank is going back to AMS for balancing and polishing. I will also be taking my forged rods with it so my crank bearings will be perfect. I will be running type r or p30 pistons(p30 will put me around 12.31:1 c/r and p73-00 will put me at 12.41:1) so which ever one I find a better deal on will be the winner. Going to be running a 70mm tb to match the intake mani and a bwr fpr. Already had a oem head gasket from honda I'm going to run with arp studs. Will update as I go. Fingers crossed it all works as planned.

just curious why the sandwich adapter? For a minute I thought it was a turbo build...
For the Oil feed to the head it's an lsvtec

Ordered my forged h beams with arp 2000 3/8s bolts and scored a great deal on a 4-1 one piece header. Also going to be running a oem 81mm 3 layer head gasket from honda. Did some cleaning/porting on the heads to get the cast markings out and goign to port match to header when it arrives. Pics will be posted of progress as it comes along.
