Beautiful car! It is coming along nicely.

Tore the guts out of the rear axle and prepping for the new stuff: Strange axles, Detroit Truetrac, and 3.55 gear set. The Strange axles are nice upgrades over stock for sure.

Still doing work. Installed a Strange drain plug in the housing, had Tio Leo weld it up to make sure it would not leak.

Popped in the rebuild 3rd -member with the new 3.55 Motive gears and Detroit Truetrac, and then slid in the Strange axles so we could get after putting together the SSBC rear disc brake conversion.

Ran into a bit of a problem in that the beefier Strange axles and bearings had extra material on the outer part of the bearings themselves. Thanks to Mike Sherbring for machining the inner hole out on the brackets from 2-5/16" to 2-5/8" to properly mate up to the bearing.

Getting close to firing this thing up, so we got the windshield replaced.

It was Ford windshield, so it very well could have been the 49 year old original. Almost 50 years worth of NM dust, sand, and dry rot under that trim.

Surprisingly, the sheet metal was rust free underneath.

Getting close...

Built a throttle rod that I think came out pretty slick.

Found a machined aluminum tach mount designed for the early Bronco, and it fits like a glove.

Joe decided to bust up for Street or Track's adjustable strut rods. This will allow for easy alignment adjustment, and eliminates the binding rubber strut rod bushing. A very slick piece.

Finally got the brake system finished up this past weekend. Everything is bolted up, bled out, and functioning. Other than some potential minor adjustment on the adjustable master cylinder pushrod, it is done.

Just lack minor plumbing on the cooling system, fuel system, and transmission lines, and we are ready to fire it up.

Which manufacturer makes the traction bars, panhard, and subframe connectors that you installed?

That would be me (with a little help from Tio Leo); as well as the driveshaft loop and X-pipe.

So the car has been relocated to AZ. The best news is Joe has it running and is working out the bugs. I will be going out there for Memorial weekend to see it run in person.

I'll try to attach a couple video clips; they are not the best quality vids, but turn up the volume as it sounds really good.

Thanks. Definitely a lot of time, effort, and money put into this car.

Thanks.

The suspension setup rides and drives great, there is no wheel-hop, and everything tracks straight, even though the tires just spin with any aggressive throttle input. Stickier tires are definitely going to be a requirement for any trips to the strip.

That little 331 is running stronger than expected, and it sounds wicked; the vids simply do not do it justice. We are loving the Mutha' Thumpr cam. Despite the nasty sounding idle and aggressive exhaust duration, the throttle response is snappy, and the motor has excellent torque off idle.

The only negative thus far is the manual brakes. They are not working as well as we'd hoped. You gotta put some serious leg power into it. Might need to change out master cylinders?

Also looking to toss the stock shifter for an aftermarket setup. Any suggestion on a clean, solid setup for a C4?
