Glad we were able to help, sounds awesome. Thanks Jim

Yeah, I'm well aware of that. I put SN95 Cobra brakes on my '87.

Talked to Joe a bit about it and it sounds like he wants to stick with a factory style Kelsey-Hayes 4-piston front setup. Go manual for now, and if deemed necessary upgrade to power with a vacuum reserve canister.

I'm a believer in you only need enough wheel to clear your brakes, so if we go with the K-H setup it'll more than likely get the 15" Torque Thrust D's.

I've seen a coupe with 16" versions that looked great, but 17's just look a little big in these smallish wheel openings, in my opinion.

Rear suspension is all finished up, as planned. I'll post a few pics on Monday.

Sounds like a pretty hot little 289. Probably very similar to what this would of been if it still had the original 289 in it. Since it turned out to be a low-compression 302, it was easy to talk Joe into going a little more serious.

The only thing I'd change on the combo would be the AFR 165cc heads to 185's, but it should still run pretty strong.

Sorry, but we're not going to change the engine combination any time soon. It's all buttoned up and hopefully there to stay for quite some time.

There's quite a bit of fender gap, but the rear was not lowered and the wheels and tires that are on it are little 14" pizza cutters. A fair pic will show include the final 15"x8" wheels and tire choice.

Looking to get at least a slight rake from lowering the front though. Before she was nose up.

Been talking it over with Joe a little bit, and the decision was made to put some more effort into the rear suspension. Gonna fab up some under-ride style traction bars w/ rod ends, and a panhard bar. Kind of like a Trans Am racer, except a simple panhard bar instead of the Watts link. This combo should do a lot better job of keeping the solid axle square under the chassis.

Haven't done a whole lot lately...whole family has been a little under the weather.

Planning/designing the additional rear suspension parts we need to fab like the traction bars, panhard bar and subframe connectors.

Getting ready to start on the front suspension. Pulled the front sway bar and shocks...still need to fab up a spring compressor.

New front suspension goodies and my little helper (who turns 2 this week):

Thanks. He's at a fun age where his vocabulary is growing daily. Sometimes he's downright hilarious...and what's better is he's often that way on purpose.
