Time for a six-pack (for my olds)

Some of you have seen the classic custom I drive. It's a 1950 Oldsmobile.

Well even the oldies have to breath. I bought this set-up for it around a year ago.

Decided it was time to put it on.

Here is the stock set-up, rear draft two-barrel.

Got the intake off, here's the stock valley pan.

Bought an aluminum valley pan. Was a pain, it came a half inch to wide. After a half hour or so of working it with the belt sander, got it installed.

Got the intake on.

Going to pick up some hardware for the plumbing, and some theaded bar to work on linkage (already got the progressive set-up, just need to mate to stock stuff)

Got it done this weekend. Ran ito a few problems of course. The intake only had one water bung. I need both water temp gauge and heater return. So I had to drill and tap the rear head water jacket plug.

Also had to fabricate part of my linkage. i purchased the progressive three carb set-up, but I also needed an automatic transmision kick down.

Had to relocate the coil also. Here it ia all together.

Ran great, just starving for gas. Taking off tank to clean and check pick-up. Also going to replace fuel hard lines with 3/8".
