Getting my car back up and running...finally!

Its been almost a year since my car has been down

For those of you not in the loop, I had a lifter collapse and tear up one of the lobes on my cam, this happened August of last year.

The car needed 2 new rear tires, the BFG drag radials were all done, I had hit a Albuquerque pot hole a while back, and while the car sat the sidewall on that front tire gave out. So instead of spending $650 on 2 drag radials, and $250 for a new wheel I decided to get Prostars.

I want Bogarts eventually, but for now these will work, I got 2 Prostar 15x3.5 front runners with tires/lugs/caps for $250 shipped. Still trying to find some rears.

I also ordered
Futral Motorsports custom grind hydraulic cam
LS7 Lifters
LS2 Lifter trays

Going to order next week
Grant steering wheel
HVAC delete plate
Rear Prostars + Tires
Gaskets

Need to take out the airbags, delete the HVAC and take a few other misc items out of the car. Also need to borrow a degree wheel aswell, anyone mind helping out?

Once the car is running I need to take her down to Lomas Glass & Tint for a windshield and should be able to make it to the No Bull August 1st.

I will start posting pics once parts start arriving!

Good to hear Chris, Whats the deal with using the LS7 lifters? Are they better? What do you need to do to make them fit?? I am interested in a set.

ls7 lifters are also direct replacement for lt1s as well. and the ls2 lifter tray im pretty sure are just thicker so theres less chance of one rotating...im probably wrong lol

Nice, I've been using LS7 lifters for a few years now and they seem to work great (haven't had any problems, at 870hp now). Can't wait to see it at No Bull. You put a cage in it yet?
