Lesson learned tonight. When I put the extended studs in, I cut the caps off the lugnuts that came with the wheels, three boogered up hardended studs. Two Friday nights I've dealt with the same crap. Going to see Jim at Yearwood tomorrow to get the good ones.

Instead of being at Test and Tune, I'll be finishing the car. What should have been a four hour project is turning in to twelve. Perfectly wasted "sick day".

As long as its done for my date tomorrow night!

17 hours later, STVMCQN is back together.

LCAs installed.


All sphericals and heim joints.


New upper link and mount.


Had to pull the axle out to replace the studs.


Yeah, this was no fun.


Also did the IC correction, changed the differential fluid to Amsoil synthetic, put in the braided clutch line with bleeder, and put Amsoil MTG in the trans.

Car works a lot better and shifts like butter now!

Need aluminum one piece driveshaft, MM caster/camber plates to get the alignment in spec, then, It'll be time to start throwing some power at it.

I rode in the car before and after and all I can say is Damn!! It made a huge difference, it probably does a 1.8x on the street now.

Knew when I put the clutch in that I had to reset the Neutral Misfire Monitor Position, but it never threw a CEL and ran just fine.

Went out last night and all of a sudden, the car is down on power and throwing a CEL. 1500 miles, a trip to the dealership, and $88...........reset and running strong again. Guess the computer was pulling timing out of the car last night on its own.

Set the pinion angle today and adjusted the LCAs so the rear end was equal in the wheel wells and square in the car.

Pinion angle was +3.5 degrees to start and is now set at 0 degrees.

Thanks to LESRNEM for his help and NDA9s for the use of his ramps and protractor. Had to use four ramps to get the car up and equally loaded.
