More so with the stock Ford hardware. Thus the reason you end up spending more for the aftermarket blocks, transmissions and in some cases the rear-ends after you have blown up your existing stuff. I will give the LS boys that advantage but it's the poison you pick.

Don't get me wrong, my blood runs true blue but don't expect any stock components lasting more than a season of drag racing at 450hp+.

I don't really intend on riding it too hard, I'm well aware of the stock components not going to be very durable with the power. I intend on getting aftermarket transmission eventually

Well, all you homies are scaring me About my Shit breaking and I'm not trying to blow blocks and trannys right away, tbh riding it "hard" to me is like shifting at 6500-7000 and launching it.. so I guess that's what I'll be staying away from. I'm excited to just roll into it and be able to blow the tires off if I want haha.. but no I'm not trying to be one of those guys spends 7k on a build and garage it.. take it out for ice cream lol.. I'll be on Monty and the tracks when I'm done crossing my fingers it holds up long enough to replace all stock parts

I ran a stock block 331 with eagle rods, crank and probe pistons for several years with a turbo kit and went as fast as 9.82 with a glide, 10.32 with a c4 and low 11's with a stick. making over 500rwhp here. Never hurt the motor, but ran a Fast EFI with a good safe tune.

bought a good block after that

Cool, I was kinda worried that making over 450hp I'd be in a dangerous spot, but I'm putting supporting mods as in bigger fuel system getting msd ignition and a good clutch. I'm going to get a good safe street tune when I'm done at dyno edge and I'm sure I'll be fine.

If it's a stock tranny, just don't grind it and it'll live a good while. It's all in how you finesse it.

Stock shortblock will go pretty far on a turbo car. Your biggest advantage if you wanna go fast in a Fox is to get weight out of it. Helps in every aspect.

The guy I bought the car from told me that he took the stock t5 and had put a rebuilt one he had in? So I have no idea if its stock or if he did anything to it. It is a stock short block. As far as weight reduction.. I don't have the back seats, and took the spare out of the back lol

Front two are the only seats car has full int I don't think I could weight reduce anymore unless I got some lighter seats but I like the saleen seats, and just a shot of the block.
