Could anyone perhaps tell me how to remove the red retainer in the ECU plug so i can re pin my ECU for my mass air computer (A9L)? or does that red retainer have nothing to do with re pinning? thanks any help is appreciated.

nice!! and realisticly i have no idea what kind of power this set up will make i think the previous motor owner made N/A 320HP and on spray i think it was near 400. what do you think itll make w a 70mm turbo charger between 7-10 pounds of boost, all forged internals, cammed, ported eddy alluminum performer RPM heads, upgraded springs, aftermarket rockers, going threw a 5 speed trans ? yes i know trans is my weak link but ill ride it out long as possible or atleast till i can get a built 5 or 6 speed. previous motor owner says he thinks i wouldnt have a problem if set up right to hook getting into a high 10...?
thats just what he told me anyways reality is different lol. kinda scary if it did run that being its previously fastest pass was 15 second quarter lmao

10psi on that 331 should get you at least 400hp. Expect mid to low 12s with good tires and the driver mod.

10s will need 500hp at this altitude along with slicks and a few other things as well as lots of practice.

IIRC, you just need to move a few existing pins at the ECU then add the new pins from the MAF harness. I don't recall ever having to do any soldering.

so there is 4 wires, two have plugs that get inserted right into the connector, then theres two other wires that the instructions say i shouldnt splice them to the wires that they need to be connected too which would of been easiest but it says to solder them.. should i say fuck pro-m and just splice them lol? and as far as removing pins from the connector?? do i push from the bottom? or does that red retainer on the bottom come off then alloqing me to remove pins? thanks for any info brotha.

The retainer comes out to allow the pins to pull put easily. The 2 wires that are to be inserted are probably the signal wires. Pins 9 and 50.

The other 2 wires are probably power. Power 37 and ground 40. Yea you can use splices if necessary but soldering is always recommended.

There are other wires you should also splice and put into the ECU. VSS sensor and the Fuel Pump monitor signal.

hmm i didnt read anything abouit the VSS sensor and the fuel pump monitor signal. but the maf Pro m instructions to state other wires that need to be relocated in the connector to complete a full maf conversion.
