Gun Coatings

I am setting up to do a ceramic gun coating. It is called Cerakote and will out wear any other coating on the market today. it comes in a variety of colors and can be applied to any firearm, including polymer, wood, aluminum and steel. It can be applied to barrels also. As soon as I get my FFL I will start. You will have to bring the firearm in dissembled and the cost will be around $100.00 for a semi auto pistol and $150.00 to $200.00 for rifles. Several Gun makers are already using this coatings. Look at a Sig Scorpion for a sample color.

Sweet, I'll be taking mine in soon. SA-58(fal). I have a rail cover for my optics, will I need to remove that?

I will need to see the rail. The optics will have to be removed as the finish is baked on.

The rail would have to come off and be sprayed separably. I can do camo with this coating but that will be later when I have had some practice.

I do have the stock cover which both serve the same purpose by covering the bolt and slide assy. My concern is that the coating would be getting into the inner case where the slide sits. When the time comes, just let me know.

The coating is Very Thin. A mil or less. It will not change the tolerance of the slide. It will take about 3 months to get my FFl. I will let you know when I am ready to go.

Got my FFL and several colors in stock. Did my Kimber in a crimson and black and I think it looks good. I am ready to go with the Cerakote. Hand guns start at $125.00 for 1 color. The gun must be brought in dissembled. I am NOT a gun smith
