what is an HX50 good for?

I picked up an HX50 a few weeks ago just because it was dirt cheap. After a little research it seems it is too big for my cummins to run as a single and too small to run for twins. Probably too small for my small block 400.... Anyone know of someone running one of these on something? I need to build something that is actually fast for once.

Do you know the A/R on the exahust? Is it divided housing? Seems like it flows enought for over 500whp

Ya i find that confusing as well if its bigger than what u have now drop that in as your primary than use the stocker as secondary...

HX50s are more than capable of flowing 700+

There have been a couple honda kids using HX50s as an alternative to their big garrett/precision counterparts.

^I was gonna say, I know the HX40s on rotaries are good for roughly 450, which means they flow enough air for a piston motor to make roughly 650. The HX50s gotta be capable of 700+ at the very least, but are just fine for 500.
